There will be trails you can run. If you have running boards...lose them at home, or you may lose them on a trail. No pressure to run your rig past whatever you are comfortable with, but there are more than a few trails a stocker can run without issue.

Heal...better to ride many trails in the future than to break yourself to ride one. Besides, you're a better man than I for even considering making that trip to wheel, then ride back.

Sorry everyone, wont be able to make it this year. Just as I suspected my return date has been pushed back to the very end of the month. I also have a new daughter to get acquainted with so I can't rush off into the woods with you all. I'll be trying to organize something in the spring so be on the look out. Have a blast and take lots of pics!

I will, thanks. It's really just tedious stuff, new guide for the steering rack, inner tie rods, rear main seal, timing belt and water pump, and new gasket for the rear axle. The seals aren't leaking, just the gasket where it connects to the drive shaft. Come to Oklahoma they said, it would be fun they said....f this place. Not a decent off road shop in the entire state!

Sounds like there is an issue with the nut that connects the steering wheel to the drivers seat.

Ok, I hope like hell the damn engineer at Toyota responsible for the front caliper guide pins on 1st gen Tacos (3rd gen for you T4R types), has been fired...or worse.

Front pads were starting to hit squeal indicators so I figured I'd swap pads real quick. After removing a couple inches of WV mud, I found my front passenger caliper. Beat, cussed, PB'd, cussed, beat and finally twisted one out...second one however, wasn't gonna move for anything.

Dremel, drill, and 4 hours later, the front pads are done. Who zinc plates hardened steel, then puts that in cast steel, were temps will run high and water will be an obvious issue? :frusty:

Rant over, back to topic...disaster avoided...I will be there.
