Looks like an awesome trip, I have a permission to try and make this work next year. Its a hell of a drive so we really have to plan one of the few "long" vacations a year around it but hope to be able to participate next year.

Gabe and I are still with 4Rnrgrl and OneGreenTaco here sitting under the ARB awning smoking some cigars and sipping Macallan. It's raining but spirits are great!

Today we did supposedly green(not) trails to finish mapping the Cove. OneGreenTaco is one hell of a trail guide, navigating Corey and myself along the CoveRidge trail and through some switchback offcamber vertical nonsense that no 5th Gen should. Be able to snake through. Videos do it no justice of course.

What an awesome weekend.

Sorry we weren't around to say goodbye (@antman [MENTION=103396] [MENTION=132027]OneGreenTaco[/MENTION] ), Thea and I decided to drive through Shenandoah it was worth it. Tomorrow we are going to check out Montecello.

Thanks again Jeff for setting everything up, can't wait for next year!

I had a great time this weekend! I haven't been around much lately, but it was good seeing you guys again, and meeting those of you who I have not met before.

Bears love that dumpster! This one was kind of young, we also saw a baby later that night going up a tree near the dumpster. There is some good video of this dumpster to come...

We had 3 Steve's, 2 Josh's, 2 Jeff's (1 pretty, 1 crafty), 2 Corey's I think there were a few more people with the same name but it was hard to keep track.

Skids came off yesterday along with knocking off and hosing off about 25 lbs of mud from that mud-slopped, rutted trail!

Your truck is beyond muddy, lol. My GoPro didn't record so all of yesterday's video is nada.

We did hit a bunch of rain last night so some of the mud is gone.

If it makes you feel better my Contour ROAM2's battery died as we started out yesterday so no video yesterday.

There are so many unfortunate things about this photo... the clouds, the power lines, the fact that I was so drunk I kept ISO on 100 :crazy: but just so y'all know, this is what was above you while you tore up those pumpkins.

Great shot! It definitely captures the atmosphere of the night there. We should have switched drunk ISO's! However ISO100 is fine for that shot, unless you could go to 64. What are the artifacts from? Is there a UV filter on the lens?

Sorry I had to bail early. Daughter was sick Sat night and I had to run home. All's well now. Wish I could have stuck around for more wheeling and the range but the run Sat with Scott@hightech, Onegreentaco, Antman & Gabe, 4runr_grl and the dudes from Veneyota was great. Would love to see some of the pics and video from the drones. Look forward to next year. Steve

I just now got home...

I found out my old-ass video camera didn't record any video onto the SD card so that's great. I do have some stuff on my phone and I think my camera (but that broke too).

So...I'm counting on some more great pics and videos from everyone else!






**Things I took away from this year...

Met more awesome people- incredible group of guys/gals!

JKGabe's Jeep can have the left front tire at least 4 ft in the air without flipping end/end on a slope...(you guys GOTTA post that video). As OneGreen Taco(OGT) would say."You couldn't drive a needle up his a$$hole with a sledgehammer, the pucker-factor was so high.) I think we all gained some respect for that section of trail...

OGT is one hell of a trail guide. We made it through some very tight, steep switchbacks with ease because of him.

Green trails are actually dark blue...

The rear-end of Tacoma's float in deep mud (more or less)

Corey's 4Runner has no speed limiter in mud.

The bears live at the dumpster. All of them, apparently.

Scott needs to eat better. Chunky Soup and Ramen noodles- really?

Doug still has no clue what "good" is with regards to a trail.

Cats and possums can be very close friends as long as they are sharing a cookie platter in the dark.

Dave's wood was warm and dry this year- wait, er...you know what i mean.

Some of the trails have a free skidplate-replacement program- you just gotta know where to look.

Pat was missed by all this year- keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery.


Thank you OneGreenTaco, Phillyd2, and Apex Overland for the prizes and GTpeace, Scott for the cookout and cool coozies! All the food for the cookout was delicious- thanks everyone for contributing. Thanks also to Sleeter for a new 5.5 Gen rear bumper- Mine is now thoroughly thrashed! It's gonna look soooo much better.

New maps should be on the way from the map gurus! These are the trails Gabe and I did!
