Odd Blinker Failure

So right blinker indicator started blinking fast on dash. I replaced both the front right and rear right blinker bulbs. Front blinker blinks normal, rear blinker doesn't work at all and indicator light still flashes fast.

Since I know both bulbs are good I suspected the rear blinker socket so I removed the working socket and bulb from the left rear, installed it in the right rear. Same situation, fast indicator and no blink on right rear.

I checked all the connections, used dielectric grease, no change. Sounds like it's the connectors on the left taillight housing itself? They look fine to me.

Suggestions? Thanks.

In my experience these kinds of issues usually turn out to be the ground connection being bad.

Thanks for the info...but isn't there only one ground point on the taillight housings? The other light (position) works fine.
