Odd noise, need help

I have a 1999 5sp 4x4 v6 with 108k that is making a squeaking noise that I cannot figure out. When I let off of the gas there is a squeaking/ chirping noise that seems to come from the transmission area, it usually goes away after a second or two, only happens if I am going >35mph, happens in any gear, and seems to be speed related, but not entirely sure about that. It happens in both 2hi and 4hi, can't really get 4lo fast enough to know (besides the drive line noise would mask it anyway). I changed the transfer oil and lubed all except one zerk on the drive shafts (couldn't get my cheap grease gun on it)... Anyone with a similar experience/ ideas? your help is greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to recommend a pair of vise grips on the end of a pistol grip type grease gun. That's how I get to all my zerks and make sure the gun is clipped on

yeah, your u joint is prolly going bad, especially if you cant grease it, mine would chirp like that for 2 months, and then it progressed into a vibration, and then a very uncomfortable vibration at speed, and i eventually replaced it.

Noise isolated

Took the truck to a local shop today and had them put it up on the lift so I could listen. It is the constant velocity joint for the rear drive shaft. Got some grease in the correct zerk and it shut it up. The joint is integral to the drive shaft and is not considered replacable. The dealership wants $900 for a drive shaft, but a local shop will rebuild it for 1-300 depending on the damage. Hopefully the grease will hold it together for a while, but only time will tell. Thanks for all your help.
