So I have an odd oil leak. I am trying to determine the source. I think it could possibly be from the filter but I am looking for input. 97 3rz (4cyl) 9k on the remanned engine.
This photo shows the only "burnt oil" spot. It is dry all around where the filter housing meets the block so I do not think the seals there are gone.
This photo shows on the filter itself how it drips down.
Any help would be appreciated. I am sure there is not an extra seal from the last filter in there. I am pretty sure I don't have it over tightened. I have noticed on the OEM filters I use that the seal is a lot closer to the lip of the filter than after market ones. Thanks in advance ladies and gentlemen!
