I have the 3.0 with the stock head gasket and valve cover seals.
It had 234000 plus miles on it when the speedo cable stopped working and I've done well over 20,000 after fixing it.
The valve covers are slowly seaping oil but the head gaskets look to be holding up for now.
I'm trying to baby it untill next spring when I'll have all the funds to do a compleat block up rebuild. My question involves the stock oil gauge.
It has no numbers, just the little tick marks on it. Attached is a poorly ms-paint shoped picture of where it reads.
Should I add a new oil pump to my rebuild list? I'm guessing the main and connecting rod bearings are wearing thin aswell so thats also a concern.
