Odd Oil Pressure

I have the 3.0 with the stock head gasket and valve cover seals.
It had 234000 plus miles on it when the speedo cable stopped working and I've done well over 20,000 after fixing it.
The valve covers are slowly seaping oil but the head gaskets look to be holding up for now.
I'm trying to baby it untill next spring when I'll have all the funds to do a compleat block up rebuild. My question involves the stock oil gauge.
It has no numbers, just the little tick marks on it. Attached is a poorly ms-paint shoped picture of where it reads.
Should I add a new oil pump to my rebuild list? I'm guessing the main and connecting rod bearings are wearing thin aswell so thats also a concern.

That's about where mine is. Has been holding steady for the past 2 years like that. I've only put on about 12,000 miles, but I only have a little valve train tick.

Agree with all the above. Mine is just the same as the pictues you posted. Looking forward to watching your engine build.

Normal. As engine RPM goes up, so will the oil pressure to accommodate it. Totally normal.

Oil pressure gauge is something a lot of car makers have removed to stop worrying people. These days you usually just have a "low oil pressure" sensor that will pop if oil pressure dips below what is considered minimum safe.

I would be more worried if it stopped moving. Means you either have a bad sensor or a clog/sludge and the engine can't build up higher pressure.
