Hey everybody!
So I've had this high pitched ringing coming from my engine compartment for the past two months. Does not affect engine performance and engine is running like a champ. At first I thought the source of this ringing was a worn out timing belt, just a guess on my part. But either way I've just recently replaced my timing belt, water pump, all the pulleys and what not which needed to be replaced anyways but I figured it would take care of the ring I had heard. Got everything back together and I still get this ring upon start up. It hangs around until my car calms down to about 700 rpm. And the second I add gas to rev the engine the ring comes back until the engine goes back below 1000. I'm thinking that it might be my clutch fan but I am beyond myself as to what it might be since it seems like it is coming from the front of the engine . Has anyone else had this similar problem and found out what it might be?
