I've read through most of the starter problem threads and I may have a new one for the gear heads to crunch.
When the starter works (which is most of the time), it's very strong. Every once in a while, which has been becoming more frequent, it will decide it doesn't want to start. Completely random, but when it doesn't start, it has to sit for a while before it will crank again.
Starter is about 30K miles old and battery is new with clean terminals. When I turn the key to ACC, all the normal lights come on and have all power to stereo/windows/lights. When turned to start, the amps fall as normal, lights dim, fuel pump turns, stereo and lights cut...but absolutely nothing happens on the starter end. No normal starter failing signs like grinding and the such.
I've played with all the battery and starter leads. All fuses fine. Someone said dirt and oil could rob current and try cleaning it.
Need some help.
