odometer correction?

I want to replace the circuit board on the cluster because something burned out on it, but I need it to match the mileage. The dealer says you cant order the corrected part without a dealer work order and it will cost $405 with labor. Is there any way to get one cheaper?

You can call around to instrument cluster repair shops to see if they can do it for you.

But the problem is that the clusters are programmed off-site and shipped to the dealership, we are unable to program mileage at the dealership. But the factory will not ship a "corrected" instrument cluster without a dealership and a repair order and some additional paperwork they need to fill out (hence why it needs to be processed through the dealership)
