I'm chasing a p0500 code on my 2000 5spd SR5. The speedometer and odometer work, so I would think the issue isn't with the speed sensors or ABS module. I also tested the conductivity of the wiring harness between the cluster and ECU. No issues. I had thought I found the issue as I found two resistors that had burned out on the circuit board of the instrument cluster. I located a replacement cluster, swapped it, and just took the truck around to cycle the ECU, and that did not fix it. So I'm guessing my next logical step is to find a replacement ECU? Any insight is appreciated. Thank you.
