I ordered on the 15th. I spoke with Daniel today, mine would have shipped this week but I'm going out of town for 6 weeks and I'm also moving so I had to put off the shipping. I won't be installing it til late September.

The rain has helped out a bit. Bringing temps down to around 989,006 degrees. Hopefully it doesn't jump back up to the millions by the time that they arrive.

Thanks for the update. If he's going in the order received, then mine should ship soon. Talked to him last week, but I don't want to be "that guy" and call again...

Understand. Yesterday was the first time I spoke with him. He said they wanted to include the 6x9 speakers so that may have delayed shipment by a day or two.
ya seriously! I'll probably do them some time this weekend since my gf is gone.
Jumped on the early discount order and pulled the trigger 7/2/17 (order date). Order arrived 7/28/17 (west Michigan). Order arrived packaged to the hilt. Spent the afternoon today with the video in the cab (iPad) following the step by step instructions. My mechanical ability is about the level of a sloth with a toothpick. The worst fear were the freaking clips. The ones you always break, forget about, or misplace. The video helped identify where they were and what to do if one did not come loose. I was able to tie a lead wire to the head unit wiring harness to pull the wires above the glovebox to the head unit. Sound is considerably better. My kids are now yelling at me in the garage to "turn that screaming music down DAD".
Going back now to enjoy the upgrade.

can you provide any more detail? Mine have not shipped yet, but this is a little concerning.

not much yet. just that previously before the new 6x9, everything sound like the sound levels were equal, but now with the 6x9s in place, they should a lot louder then every other speaker in the car.
just wanted to make sure that was the intention.

I put my ohm meter on the 6.5"'s I took out and they are all 4 ohm.
Do you have access to am ohm meter? I wonder if the factory 6x9's are 4ohm like the 6 1/2's? I actually thought they were all 2ohm but that is definitely not what I see on my Fluke. Maybe the JBL system is 2 ohms?

The speaker specs are there, and they are all 2ohms, and the amp/dsp is 360 watts at 2ohms. So, I guess if the original 6x9 was 4 and the new one is 2, then it would be louder ... but not compared to the other new 2ohm speakers?

Factory speakers are 4-ohm, but the front mid/tweeter are wired in parallel to produce a two ohm load. I would expect a slight increase in volume when the two ohm speakers are installed, but I wouldn't expect the front 6x9s to drown out the new 6.5".

ran my thoughts by oemaudio+, this was by design that the front stage is louder.
Sat in the 4runner for a while earlier, and it does sound like it all phases together just fine.
Just one of those things i noticed when i had all the doors open and noticed how the 6x9s sounded too loud.
