I was hoping someone out there may know if the bluetooth in an 08 will sync with an iPhone? any expereinces??

Well I just synced up my wife's iphone with her new to us 06 limited w/nav. Based on the quick reference card, and nav supplement guide, I was able to get the truck to see and work with the phone. But I have yet to get the phone book from her Iphone into the phone book on the nav.

The only solution I've found so far is to try pairing and unpairing, rinse and repeat until it uploads on it's own, but I don't find that solution very reassurring. If I find out something more definitive I'll post it up.

BTW, the call quality seemed pretty good. I could tell she had me on a speaker, barely, but the incoming and outgoing volumes were good and clear.

I don't think there is an easy way to sync an entire phonebook to the iphone nav. This is a limitation of the iphone, not the nav because I was successful with sending my entire phone book to my nav unit with a sony-ericsson phone. The iphone only allows me to send one contact at a time.

Now this was was back in 07' and maybe the new iphone or new firmware enables this feature.

btw- I have an 06 nav unit

I need to do this today actually on my wife's 07 with nav. Going to update her iphone 3GS to the latest firware this evening and will see how it goes.
