The 0446535240 are the original semi-metallics that your truck came with, 04465-AZ103 are ceramic replacements. I prefer semi-metallics, even though they're twice the price.
Me too. Maybe ceramics have improved (I don't know - haven't bought them in a while), but when they first came out, and the first few times after that, when I bought them, I despised them. Sure, they stop better. But since physics can't be defeated, that comes at a price - they eat up rotors much faster.
And then there was that godawful brake dust, that seemed to weld itself onto the wheels. I normally wash my tires and wheels with Blechewhite (sp?). It does a great job at cleaning the tires and removing brake dust. But with ceramic brake dust, I have to get out a spray can of brake cleaner and a brass brush to actually remove it.
I went back to using semi-metallics, and even though they produce noticeably more brake dust, it is very easy to remove. Oh, and I don't have to replace my rotors very often at all, anymore.
Maybe ceramic pads have improved lately, but I don't feel like risking the money to find out and maybe still be very disappointed.
