OEM Brakes/Rotors vs Tundra

Is it worth going to the extra mile to dig up some Tundra calipers/rotors/brakes? I'm having a bit of trouble getting my hands on some and about to just hit up the dealership for OEM parts.

Thoughts?

I have not done this yet but everyone says get them from NAPA, you can turn in your old ones for the core.

Okay I went with a set of Brembo 25534's.

Now as far as the calipers go -- I wouldn't mind going aftermarket if I can't find any on eBay. Are there any decent aftermarket brands I can purchase (preferrably on amazon) that are equivalent to napa or oem?

Not sure I understand the question? Are you asking if the upgrade is worth it? For me, it definitely was. My T4R stops like a champ now, and I have no vibration during braking (from warped rotors) like I did with stock brakes.

I got my Tundra brakes from Autozone, and returned the 4Runner brakes as my core.

They're in an autozone box, but all 3 sets of them that I have ever purchased from there were OEM remans.

Yep. Had them on for about a year now (along with Autozone brand Tundra pads and rotors), and no problems.

i bought all my parts off of amazon. loaded raybestos calipers and powerstop drilled and slotted. they work like a dream. totally worth it for me.

I went with all toyota parts except calipers which I got the Napa eclipse model. They are powder coated black and seem great so far.

Check out RockAuto Parts Catalog and save some money. They will accept the 4runner calipers as your core refund. Why buy some crap autozone house brand parts when you can get better quality for less. BTW google search for the rockauto discount code and save an additional 5%.

Because AutoZone pads and calipers have a lifetime warranty. While there are some parts I'd never buy at AZ, their brake parts are something I've never had any issues with.
