OEM brakes vs. Firestone/NTB/Midas Brakes for 00' ABS 4runner

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, and a newbie to car maintenence in general. I have been reading over the great info here. I was wondering if you guys could help me out. What is your experience with getting brakes serviced at per say a NTB place with ie. Raybestos brakes vs. buying OEM brakes and having them installed instead? .... I have located a OEM supplier online who sells rear brakes for 60.00 a brake pad set. What has been your experience with brakes...are OEM a better quality? Thanks

I'm partial to Okebono ceramic pads as they create minimal brake dust and are easy on rotors in hard braking situations or off roading.
