OEM front coils different- SR5 vs TE

Ok so i've been reading across the board that the suspension is the same (aside from kdss), but in pictures I'm counting 8coils/8coils on the TE, and 8coils/7coils on the SR5. :shrug:

Are they the same diameter coil? Adding coils typically softens suspension but helps offroad, and one less coils can even out the truck. Does the TE have a drivers side lean?

Trails do have lean, I just don't know why the SR5 and Trails have different coils on the drivers side......

IIRC they also have different shocks. My guess is the trail editions may have some minor variation due to KDSS. KDSS should reduce the typical lean to one side, so possibly they don't need the spring correction. I don't think it's meaningful, but who knows. I have a set of basically new OEM trail shocks in a box, but I have no way to test them or compare other than identifying that the part numbers differ.

It might have to do with KDSS, I couldn't tell you for sure, but that's my guess as well.

Toyota does use driver/passenger specific springs on the front, but I am not entirely sure why they'd be different between SR5 and Trail besides KDSS and possibly a smidge more weight on the Trail (though it shouldn't be that much different really.)

I forgot that the TE has the extended range 40 gallon fuel tank because of the slightly lower mpg with the supercharger. That's probably why because of the extra weight.

So i purchased some used TE Coilovers to use on my SR5. Will using the TE coils (already installed on Billstein 5100's) have a negative effect on my SR5?? I can't seem to find any information. Or should i just take off the TE coils and use my SR5 coils... :yield:

I'm looking to swap in some 2015 SR5 factory pull-offs on my 2010 Trail w/KDSS. I can't find anything on the forum confirming whether or not this is doable/possible.

I might be wrong but thought it was because kdss equipped have a couple more inches of down travel, longer shock stroke and longer springs?
