Oem LED Brake light dim, replace?

Sorry I tried search first and didn't have any luck. I have a 2006 with the led tail lights. Do they go bad? I have 1 that doesn't get very bright when the brake is applied. Hate to throw away a good light.

LED's can go bad, but I'd check for a bad connection first. Maybe the plug is loose, or one of the wires are frayed. If everything looks ok, check the voltage between the 2 wires that power the LEDS when they're on - you should see the same voltage that you see between the (+) and (-) terminals on your battery (~14v when the engine is on).
