OEM LED tail light Install w/ pics

I got my tail lights installed. They look AWESOME! Passenger side came right off. Driver side took some work to get off. So far I am glad I installed them. Makes the vehicle look so much more modern.

Has anyone not been able to get this mod to work? Like others my reverse and turn signals failed to work after the install. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, checked, double and triple checked that the bulbs are fully snapped in and seated and all the contacts are correctly lined up. Still no luck. I reinstalled the old assemblies and everything worked correctly again. For info, I have a 2005 Sport and bought OEM 2006 tail light assemblies. Any ideas? Thanks

check the main harness thats plugs into the light, if you did full led, check the polarity.

I stayed with the incandescent reverse and turn lights. LED brake lights worked great. Just can't get the others to work. Could it still be a polarity issue?

check page 3 post 44, that person had to redo the plug install part.

Thanks! I totally misread that the first time around. That has to be the problem. I didn't screw that part back in. I'm guessing this is going to fix the problem.

Glad to see this is a post that keeps on giving! LOL.

Mine have been replaced (a few years ago due to a fender bender), but not doubt this mod gives our pre '06 Runners a "refresh" look. I would like to add that adding LED license plate light completes the updated look. I got mine from vLeds. Speaking of which, I added reverse LEDs to our pathetic factory lights a couple of years ago.

Has anyone tried the aftermarket led taillights on amazon? They have these.

I can get both sides for $200 cheaper and they seem to be identical to OEM
