OEM Mini Tie Down’s For 2010 Trail Roofrack .

How do yo install the factory supplied mini tie downs on the 10 Trail all black roof rack ? The supplied instructions say to insert a flat bladed screwdriver in the supplied slot on the rear end caps and pry the cover off .
I can’t find any supplied slot. Just rubber weatherstripping where the rail meets the roof . Can anyone help ?

If you're talking about these things they are easy. Just unscrew the loop, slide them in the track on the outside of the rack and then tighten. You don't need to remove the end caps.

Thanks for the reply but still a no go . The bottom of that metal plate will not slip into the rail lip . Probably why the instructions say to remove end caps .

A bag of those parts came with my 2013 and I wondered what they are. Still have the bag, now I have to go try them.

If you're talking about these things they are easy. Just unscrew the loop, slide them in the track on the outside of the rack and then tighten. You don't need to remove the end caps.

Should work this way without any issue - I've done it multiple times, until I sold the rack.

Took a look today, I have a 2013 Trail, Looks like you are taking the end caps off. Hope this helps.
