I drained my Panasonic battery in an hour and a half. Radio on but turned all the way down. Got me wondering if this battery is up to task? I have 2 Alpine classAB amps under the seats probably 500 watts total. I have an interstate megatron platinum 1000cca from my last vehicle but its a side post type.

These oe batteries any good

Panasonic makes some of the BEST batteries in the world. They are the leader in batteries made for cordless tools.

The amps are NOT putting out 500 watts if you're NOT playing very loud. You're probably drawing a few amps..but over an hour and a half..that's a long time without the engine running.

Automotive batteries don't like to be completely drained (unless it's a deep cycle battery). When ever you drain the battery like that...you really shorten it's life.

Like the previous poster said. Panasonic batteries were amazing. But they're no longer making them unless you want to import them. Go get a true start from your dealer and call it a day.

Yeah they are good it got you though almost 8 years. Not knowing batterys history or condition of altinator its probably reached end of life cycle. If you install new battery just check alt. Well do that either way to be sure. Standard car batteries dont like to drained and charged to many times. Each time they they are cycled they lose more ability to fully charge.
