OEM Plus hooked me up !!

Do they not offer focals for the rear and hatch?

The same 6.5"s for the rear doors fit the hatch.

A quick update, now the 2015 4 runner limited with third row seating is sporting a pair of sub woofers. This is a huge step up. Also note the sub gain control in the glove compartment. I’ll write up some impressions after a little more listening but for now I’ll just say the 4 runner sounds really really good.

Very nice :drummer:

I've had some good quality time with the OEM Plus upgrades and I'd like to share a few of my observations.

First the sound quality.
It's amazing and I don't say that lightly. The word upgrade just seems wrong. This system totally transformed the JBL Stereo in my 2015 Limited. I would not have thought the sound signature of the JBL could be fixed with an upgrade kit. I was wrong. Between the filters for the factory speakers and the beautiful integration of the 2 totally custom subs, this system is firing on all cylinders. The new sound is crisp and clean and covers all frequencies with ease and power. Music now has incredible space between the instruments and the vocals. Detail and dynamics are very impressive. The speakers all just disappear and work together to produce almost 3D images that are far bigger than the interior of my 4runner.

Next the fit and finish.
The subs and enclosure are very well designed. Most stereo stores couldn't make custom enclosures like these even with 5x's the budget. The drivers are, of course, designed for the sealed fiberglass enclosures and the sub amp.

Finally the value.
$1,199 and $399 for the second sub. 4Runner Limited | OEM Audio Plus
I can't comment much on the install as OEM Plus did the work but it looks pretty easy and their you tube videos do a good job of walking you through the process. This is a bargain, right? And, if you ever want to remove the system, it's easy. If you lease your vehicle this is your solution.

This system upgrade is simply a must do!

I realize this thread is a bit dated but can you tell me how you feel about the performance today? I installed mine last weekend (conversion from taco system to 4R). My feeling is that the 6x9s have too much bass and interfere with the sub. Nothing that I can find to tame that.

Bump. Any updates of this product for the JBL system?

I would very much like to upgrade my Limited's stereo system. However, I am not ready to take a chance on an upgrade with less than a handful of reviews and without hearing it. Anyone in the Boulder, CO area take the plunge and be willing to chat with me about it? A local custom stereo place here can do a complete upgrade, bypassing the JBL system entirely, starting at $2500. That is more than a bit steep for 'starting at' price!

Oem plus is a very reputable car audio company that have been experts in tuning OEM HU’s and speakers for a while now. There are thousands of reviews.. search in the 5th gen section and check out the reviews. I’m more interested in how this sounds in the Limited.. I may pull the trigger after talking to them via phone tomorrow. The install is usually a very easy DIY from this vendor.

Any other LE owners have this system?

I'm sure they are a great company, but the reviews for the JBL upgrade in the Limited are scarce. Also, everyone has a different idea of what great sound is, so I would definitely like to hear before I buy.
