I have a 07 SR5 with the factory roof rack and this morning I went through a car wash and the dryer blew off one of the rubber strips that lays in the channel between the front and rear mounts. It is about a six ft piece of rubber strip. I put it back on and it looks like it is just a friction fit strip but it is very loose and I can slide it back and forth. Has anyone else had this happen? I don't know if it should have some adhesive or something to hold it down. Any help would be great. Thank you Bruce

I kinda have the same problem, I installed an urban runner rack the other day and the rubber strip on mine started coming out near the front of the driver's side, I keep tucking it back in but it still pops up sometimes. Mine is only 2-3" though not the whole strip.
I'm going to try some spray-on adhesive (3M Super77), I'm worried the tape I have (the 3M grey stuff like on ventvisors & badges) is going to be too thick and will make it bulge since I only want to fix 2-3".

Looks like they're beveled and kinda snap in, but also have some sort of black glue under them. They also go under the rack feet, but that doesn't seem to hold them well. I think the 3M grey tape would work better unless I can find something like the black glue that's on it from the factory.
