My apologies if this has been covered before but I figured I would share a recent mod that I couldn't find pics of.
I have a 2013 Limited and sold my OEM chrome running boards right when I bought it. I liked the taller look and hated the chrome.
I have since done a small lift and needed some running boards again. I sourced the SR5, Trail, Offroad style running boards and ripped off some brackets from the chrome OEM ones and they fit. I would have done this a long time ago if i knew these brackets were interchangeable.
There is one modification you need to do to make this work but it is super easy. Basically the bracket on the chrome running boards are longer and you either need to make the hole bigger to line up or cut it on the side, I chose to cut it.
Here are pics of the the holes not lining up and then trimmed. Enjoy!
