OEM TE Rack Issue???

Hello, y'all. Got a quick favor to ask of you. I'm hoping to get a couple people to do it so I can confirm if my issue is an issue, or validate that my rack is normal.

I just put on a brand new Yakima Mega Warrior w/ extension. But before I put it on I noticed some play in the rear base mounts on each side. Specifically, I am 200lbs. When I grab the roof rack, and stand on the rear tire, I notice play in the rear base mounts. One side goes down (compresses the rubber gasket) and the opposite side lifts up.

Here's how you can help- While standing on the rear tire(s), pull down on the rack. Look across to the opposite rear rack base and check for movement. For the record, when I do this test on the front, the front bases do not move.

Oh, and I did tighten mine down a bit. But the play I still notice in the rear is a minimal (~1/8").

I can tell you I do this with the stock roof rack when I wash my TE (climb on the rear tire while holding the rack) and it does not budge.

I just installed a Loadwarrior after having a Megawarrior. The mega was too wide and I could hear it clunking on the oem rack.

That being said I was able to tighten it down to keep it from moving. I had to tighten the thumb screws just enough to get the bolts flush with the top edge of the thumb screw.

Just installed the cross bars on mine and no movement at all.

Thanks all. I'll try and retighten the base mounts when it warms up. I originally tightened them in single digit weather... Not sure if that matters.

Oh, and for the record- my mega warrior doesn't budge and there's no clunking.
