OEM toyota wheel options/pics for 3rd gen 4runner *post em up*

I really like the way my trail edition/fj wheels look. Especially with these new tires!

hands-down the best looking oem or aftermarket wheels I've seen on a 3rd gen. They actually look like Poo on the 4runner they come on.

This thread gives me a lot to consider for wheels, I hate my stock wheels more than anything, and when I get the lift done I am torn for wheels. I want to keep an oem style wheel and really am stuck on the these trd fj wheels and the sema pro style, either gun metal or black, I worry that the sema style is a little to "busy" looking, or to modern for the 3rd gen. I like it but I can't decide since my 4runner is evergreen its already dark and I want to play off of that. I am curious though since these are 16 do they clear the tundra brakes without a spacer? Or do either of these wheels need spacers, wanting to run close to a 33"

I like where your head is at. Those wheels are good. But unless you are planning other visual exterior mods to go with them, I think the black is too aggressive for your truck as it sits, I'd go with grey. I too have a lightly exterior visual modified truck, and I've decided on gun metal grey.

Plans are for savage hybrid front and rear bumpers and match the limited flares and bumpers to black, slim full length roof rack too, and more but I don't want sound over ambitious without anything to back it up.

Well that sounds sexy as hell. If you are confident those mods will happen in the future, I say the black works! It definitely won't look bad with your current set up.:guitar2:

I agree. My truck is the same shade of green. It's not stock, but I still wouldn't put a really dark wheel on it unless I was only using that wheel for offloading. I think green especially looks good with either gun metal or hyper silver, or even a machined silver. I've been researching new wheels like crazy lately and I've come to the conclusion that most, not all, but most modern toyota stock wheels don't look right on our older vehicles (however, all of the wheels pictured above look gresat). Plus, a lot of them need to have spacers used with them due to the difference in offsets, and I'm not 100% sure I'm comfortable with that. I believe the TRD wheels you show will bolt right up and fit perfectly without spacers, if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully even with the Tundra brake mod, if you choose to do that (works great!). Great looking wheels! Just go with a lighter color IMO.

2016 trd tacoma wheels on the third generation 4runner

Just got some trd offroad wheels on the 4runner and love them. I couldn't find any pictures before i bought them so if anyone's considering it,, here you go.
(2000 4runner , 1 inch lift bilstein 5100, and new Moog rear springs.)

5th gen 4Runner SR5 wheels with 33" BFG KM2's. I think they look like they belong on a 3rd gen, even more so than the 5th gen trail wheels that seem to be so coveted. Best part is, I only paid $200 for them!

What's the widest stock Toyota rim post 2000? I'm only seeing 7.5 from mass produced vehicles...

Some of the TRD wheels are 8" & I think the Texas Edition wheel is too.
Edit: the LC80 wheels are 8" also.
