OEM U-joint question

I just received my OEM U-joints for 01 T4R 2WD One has a grease nipple, one doesn't. Does anyone know if one is for front and other for aft of the shaft? Thanks. Part # 0437160100

2WD U-joints came without a grease nipple. So you got a 4wd U joint and a 2WD, however both are same in size. Install the greasable U-joint near the 3rd member/Pinion and grease it often.

Just replaced mine on my front driveshaft from Toyota.

If the new u-joints don't fix your vibration problems, you'll need to replace the whole driveshaft. The 2WD shaft had a rubber isolator in the middle that can wear out with time and cause vibrations. A new, solid driveshaft will fix the problem. If you were local, I'd offer my old 2WD shaft (about 5k miles on it) to you...

I think you're thinking of the cardon joint, which toyota doesn't sell. They sell all the u joints though

Thanks Charlie -- in Mississippi so no go on the drive shaft. I have some play in the current U joints so I'm going to replace with OEM's. We shall see....

Also for whatever reason, Toyota calls the U joint a spider kit. I guess it's just me, but you say spider I'm thinking differential, not a u joint.

No, you're thinking of that.
He's thing of the center carrier bearing which has a rubber isolator.
At least I think that's what he's thinking of .
Maybe none of us are thinking at all.
And it's cardan, not cardon, or worse yet, cardigan.
