OEM Wiper Blades

NAPA sells blade refills for the Sightline blades but you’ll have to spend $40 to get them. Instead of $20 for 1 right and 1 left blade you have to buy 2 right and 2 left blades separately. Might as well buy the OEM ones.

I’m not sure who you are planning to buy from but give Toyota Parts a try too. I found that I got better prices than eBay. Note, not all dealers participate in this. Also you but more than $75 worth of stuff you can have it shipped for free. Toyota Parts and Accessories - Official Online Store

I have been buying OEM refills for as long as i have owned the truck (ie bought new) I did buy a set of complete OEM replacements and they are sitting on the shelf, whenever I feel like replacing the originals... so nine years and the original assemblies still going strong on an outside truck.

IMHO getting whole new assemblies when all you need is a blade is just a bullshit waste and lazy (it take 3 more minutes per wiper, if your slow, to replace a blade vs. the whole thing) ;):

without asking, dealer substituted the sightline blade for the ordered 85222-52180. which i wanted to be able to refill. when I called they said they don't sell refills and that why they substituted the sightline , no offer to refund or get me right blade, 2nd time dissapointed in dealer when ordering parts.

I’m sorry to hear that. I would contact Toyota Customer Service directly and submit a complaint. 800-331-4331

They should have at least called you and told you if you wanted the substitute before making the change. Curiosity question. How did you order the blades?

Blades

I use good old Anco blades. Buy them from Amazon less then $30 for the pair. Going to try Scrublades this winter.

Complete blade:
Wiper Blade, Right - p/n 85212-53081
Wiper Blade, Left - p/n 85222-52180

Rubber inserts:
Wiper Blade Refill, Right - p/n 85214-0E140
Wiper Blade Refill, Left - p/n 85214-06140

SightLine wiper blades:
Right - p/n 85212-YZZ1F-TM
Left - p/n 85212-YZZ1J-TM

The rubber inserts are for gen 5 4runners?

My used 2019 ORP had some aftermarket front wipers - may have been the dealer Sightlines. But I swapped them to OEM so that I can just do the inserts moving forward. The rear was already OEM so just swapped the insert.

What a great idea. Shame more brands don't do this. Saves on waste and cost.

I agree. I hate the new trend with wipers blades where you have to buy a whole wiper blade set. Most auto stores no longer sell just the wiper blades only. It’s such a waste. My 4Runner had the Sightlines wipers when I bought it. I replaced it with the OEM wipers. No only do I feel the OEM blades are of better quality compared to the Sightlines, but so much cheaper.
