Y'all with new tires and rims...

Ive read pretty much everything on lift and rims and whatnot so I'm not asking about that. I just want to see how your new rim and rubber sit in the fender.. I like mine to sit flush and the stock is too tucked for me..

So if y'all can post a front to back profile picture to show how flush your tires sit with the fender wall.. then state the off set that would be awesome! I think I'm gunna run a 0 offset with 275s...

Here's mine with 20x9 Black Rhino Sidewinders with -12 offset wrapped in 275-55 Nitto Terra Grapplers. As you can see the tires stick out about 1/3" after the fender.

The only times I've seen issues with the bearings is when people have gone extreme with it.. well, at least with other car brands, im still learning the runner..I'm "planning" on a 0 offset so I'm not worried at all. However I do like that stance Acer0611 is rockin

The only downside i have experienced has been with minor rubbing at full lock due to the offset at stock height. Had to push the fender liner forward to resolve it. Other than that, no issues to speak of. I would suggest the 0 offset or positive offset wheels and if you still want a more aggressive stance then do some wheel spacers. That way if there is some rubbing you can easily get thinner spacers or remove the spacers all together.

Stance is a combination of offset and width..

Recommend 8" width with a 4.5 - 4.0 BS. (0 to -12 offset). 9" can work but has more problems with rubbing.
 
I'm running 285/70/17 on 17x8 with 0 offset. I agree with your opinion on the factory "tuck." This isn't the perfect angle in the photo, but it's the best I have handy. I'm happy with the stance, tires sit very close to flush with fenders

Will be mounting 17x9 -12 offset xd series grenades, will get back on how they fit and the stance. For the moment they will have the stock duellers on them [emoji20]

Looks awesome man.. I'm pretty much aiming at the same stance.. with my ram the tires stuck out an inch and a half and in NJ the winter salts and crap roads chewed my rocker panel up.. so I'm looking to stay a hair tucked a d I'm just about sold on the 0 offset

SCS SR8 wheels with 285s... stock height (just trying to find time to install my lift)

Specs:
17 X 8.5
4.30" backspace
-10mm offset


I'm really happy with the stance on these. I agree that the stock wheels are a bit too tucked; I wouldn't want them any further out than what I have now though either.

I'm pretty sure imma run some dark grey rims... I don't think that it's all too common for red runners.. I mean I know a few do..

There have been many wheel bearing failures, some multiple times. The common mod? Stanced wheels and tires. With the 4Runner that equates to even with the wheel well opening. Good luck, especially just going for looks.
