go to the city website where you receive the ticket, search for your case online with the case number, if non show up, you are off the hook, you can also call them to ask for another copy if they have non, you are off the hook, also most of those tickets have a web link that lead you to the picture or video where you are caught, if the website is privately owned and not a city or a gov website you are off the hook.
 
also if they didnt catch your face perfect, you can fight in court and win, also if there were no warning signs of "camera head" sign you are also off the hook. and if you were doing speed limit and the redlight came on too fast you can also fight it (the city rig up the yellow light to be super fast sometimes to create revenue)

There are a lot of sites out there to help with these red light camera tickets.

We need to remember though that the person asking questions is a 15 year old kid (no offense, Connor)... Perhaps him googling whether or not his ticket is fake or not, is not the brightest idea.

If I were you, I would either go to the court house or call them and get another copy of the ticket. Obviously if they don't have it, it's not feasible of you to pay a ticket that they don't have a copy of.

If you think the picture is blurry, you really do have a good chance of beating the ticket in court. It is up to the judge though, really. If it's clearly you, don't tell them it's not.

I am not trying to argue with you, t4r4life, I just don't want a user to think that because another user told him that there had to be a sign 6 ft off the pavement with the California design, that he doesn't have to pay his ticket and wind up with a much larger fine.
 
also laws and regs will vary from state to state as well as city to city regarding radar(speed) cameras and red light cameras. most are set so that the ticket will only be issued if the drive enter/passes through the intersection 2-3 seconds after the light has turned red. -i have run(not trying to) several red lights(as they change or moments after) and saw the flash, and never been issued a ticket, my wife on the other hand got one last year 4 sec after the light was red.... she had to pay it lol. even if the pic is blurry you will not win the judge will rule against you, so dont try and lie, it will only make things worse for you. if you go to court and dress nice(ie church or business attire), the judge will probably lower your fine(depending on your driving record) just for you taking the time and effort to show up. but i wouldnt risk it being a fake ticket, check with what ever court or jurisdiction issued the citation and see what they say and yeah ask for another copy of it. just tell them you lost the copy they sent you.
 
Well that's pretty clear. Went on Esco's website and pressed pay ticket.

^keep checking on this though. Perhaps give them a call also so you have the name of a person you speak with. In GA, these are civil matters, not criminal. Most lawyers here will tell you to ignore it and move on. It is possible for the judge to issue a bench warrant, meaning the next time you're in front of a cop and he/she runs your info through the system, they have the option of arresting you. My response at the top of the page was and is solely based on my experience with the laws in my state. Yours may vary and it is up to you to decide for yourself.

I got one of those

prob was that the evidence was so undeniably against me i have up $200 and attend traffic school. Thats the last time i drive in SF.

Giants vs. Pats? who gives a shlt. 2nd round of anaslime supercross is on though.
 
I wish we had red light cameras in Morgantown. People running lights has gotten ridiculous. People running the light when it is dead red and I am pulling out into the intersection.

And mechanically, there are plenty of ways to do it so that you don't get a ticket as long as you are IN the intersection when the light changes to yellow.

Where I worked in TX had them, crossing an intersection wasn't a death trap. It was nice.

We just got red light cameras last year and in my town they will only take a picture of you if you cross into the intersection when the light is red. So that means the light can turn red while you are stil in the center of the intersection and you won't get a ticket.
