I received an email stating that V8 Conversion thread was missing. After some investigation, looks like it was in fact deleted by Singtoe. I undeleted it for now until we hear back from Singtoe. Busy with other stuff right now, will catch up with the drama later tonight.

You won't hear back from him (IMO) as he 'peaced out' when his honest opinion was censored.

My idea is to implement post Editting and not Removal - edit the post to just state why it was deleted and it would avoid this **** show in the future.

If you actually care about the user base opinions...

as far as I can tell nothing technical was removed, granted I don't have it memorized so maybe some stuff was. But the meat of the thread appears to still be there, which is what I personally was most concerned about.

Now while it is restored I suggest everyone who cares, should archive the thread on your hard-drive. In fact, you should archive all your favorite threads/posts and if someone tries to censor them again. You can repost them all day long to your hearts content and just laugh and laugh.

I'm laughing from my spot on the banned wagon - it's just inconvenient to keep taking up random gmail accounts just to post my opinion.

But keep in mind - I AM NOT CITY_RIDER!!!

I think I've seen a thread doing that, so that one might be OK. Now that I think it about it though, I havent seen the guy that started that one around lately. If you decide to do it, might just want to stay alert at all times :ak472:

Ok, I can't resist. I really should, but I can't. I feel less badly that this is cluttering up a thread intended to be cluttered up with stuff like this, but I still feel badly.

City_Rider, you obviously don't understand what personal property is. I suggest you look into it. This forum, and its content, is owned by a person, not a collective group. He or she put forth the effort/capital to secure a domain, create the site, and continue to moderate as he or she sees fit. They can do whatever they want with it. If Wab-Fab guy calls the owner of this forum and offers him a dollar to remove Singtoe's posts, the owner has every right to accept the dollar and do just that. If you don't like it, leave. If you decide to stay, I hope this little lesson on property rights is helpful to you. Also, I hope you clean up your language.

Chalk most of my frustration up to the general social climate that seeks to undermine property rights, success, and wealth all in the name of envy. Those in the Occupy movement come to mind, and for some strange reason, I sense some of the same tones they spew out in your posts.

Thats exactly what happened to that dude. JohnWiggy to be exact. He had his thread deleted all in the name of Capitalism. The Man is holding us down.

personally i think this is BS, as we the "people" are what make t4r what it is... sure its nice to have sponsors. but if the sponsors are given the the ability/mentality to think/do what ever they want and have no backlash or repercussions for their actions or lack their of, then whats to keep them from becoming crappy vendors that only care about the bottom line and profits... and not good customer service. if someone here has a bad experience i think its only fair that if the feel the need to let the rest of us know, they can. after all they are only looking out for the rest of the community. it also will help keep vendors on their toes. i know if i sell a rack to someone on here(and i have) i will do everything i can to make things right and fair, as well as not try to hide anything from the buyer -its called GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICES. while i might not be a business major or marketing major, im also not dumb, i understand cause and affect. if it was not for the amount of users and diversity of us, T4R.org would be nothing.

look at Ebay, and how their rating system works... if you leave negative feed back on a bad experience you had 9 times out of ten the seller will try to correct the problem to your satisfaction(within reason). its kind of the same principle here. as long as every one walks away happy and got what they came for then its all good. but when someone gets "burned" they should have the right to warn others about it. now granted their are times when the "warnings" get a little heated or unjust and thats not right either. but a lot of bad vendors are out their and its only right to allow us to warn one another about them so we dont all get "played for the fool".

vendors should be willing to accept criticism from their customers too. one bad experience isnt going to sink the ship. sometimes you just cant please everybody, thats life. but the vendor should have no more say than a member on here. vendors should know how to treat their customers and or potential customers. basically it boils down to "the customer is always right" -except for when they are wrong... i say that not meaning to give "the people" a way to take advantage of customers.
business/vendors know that its in their best intrest to make the customer happy. happy customers come back to spend more money and or tell their friends about the cool new toy they got for their rig, and where they got it and the deal they got ect. in the end of things the truth will come out, people and business' alike have track records/reputations that speak for them selfs.

-im not saying this whole mess is because of a vendor or a member, and im not trying to cast out blame on anyone or vendor. im just simply trying to say that i think everyone on here should be nice, "play by the rules" and try to get along. i know i have had my disagreements with members on here from time to time, and after things have cooled down i try to go back and be the "bigger person" and make peace. everyone is happier that way, and more willing to work together. i really like T4R, because typically we dont have all this BS and we are free for the most part to say our part and mind even if its not viewed as being "right" or the popular idea. ultimately we are all here for the same reason so lets not ruin it for us all please

Seriously, I could care less about what they do to me - your country is ****ed up and I can't change that. Certainly glad I dont live in a country where the dollar drives the political candidates. We actually have representation by the people and not one person buying their candidate. Harper is going to catch flak for the robocall **** storm he created.

I digress, I realize this site is owned by an individual and they obviously have different morals / ethics than me. I'll stop posting here, that I assure you - perhaps I'll lurk, perhaps not. I'll stick to reddit where free speech still exists (for the most part).

Ugh... There is a time and a place, that I concede. This is a great time to swear up and down regarding the loss of liberties in the states regarding what is being censored online. Regardless of who owns the site.

Not sure where you are coming from - I'll go out on a limb here and say that if I didn't raise the **** storm I did Singtoe's thread would still be missing.

I'm not hating on you city_rider, and I will fight tooth and nail to make sure I'm heard and for the right to be heard but I think my polite emails probably did more to get the thread restored then the **** storm going on.

On a serious note: your not really going to leave the site are you? did your real account get parmabanned? I think we can make more progress if we actually remain a community that will work together (and maybe skirt the rules if we are forced to)
