A few weeks ago here in southern appalachia... we ended up with about two feet of snow from that storm. I live where I can go snow ski, mountain bike, rock climb, whitewater raft or kayak all within 15 minutes of my house. Yeah I know I'm lucky. Our cultural activities leave a little to be desired though.

In my backyard we see them all: bears, deer, coyotes, hares and a sh!t ton of squirrels and chipmunks!! And i live in downtown Truckee. We had a visit from a curious bear a few weeks ago:

Oh that's right! I remember you posted up the bear prints. Would be amazing to be in a place where that kind of animal comes around.
