Nice Idea! I'd love to post some when I head up thanksgiving and christmas. Love seeing the trucks in the snow-one of my favorite elements for them!

Outside of Bear Lake in Northern Utah. I'll be in CO outside of Boulder thanksgiving week and then during December when I'm out of school, if you guys ever want to wheel give me a shout.

A storm came in last night. We had a last minute snow run. Went up to Twin Lakes. I was supposed to meet some guys from a local forum but they ended up being late and we didn't know about it so the wife and I bailed and went up the mountain with out them. For the first few miles we had great traction with some sticky snow. Toward the top it all turned to sugar and became a pain in the ass. No one had been to the top since the storm except sleds. So many miles of me first awesomeness. It was a great day.


Stuck here trying to bash through a drift. Had to dig out. Nothing to anchor to. Was trying to make room for the snow machines since they were the only other people up there.







Bashing again on a really small part of the road. Only foot traffic and sleds made it through before I got there. Had to winch to make it the rest of the way through.




At the top.




Dude in yellow was amazed to see a rig up that far.


Finally met up with the guys I was supposed to meet. I guess we just missed each other at the bottom of the mountain by minutes. They caught up with us when we reached the top and we stopped to eat lunch.:becky::becky:


About to pull another Jeep out.




I think I have my final assessment of Pitbull Rockers: I don't think I will ever put a different tire on my wheeling rig as long as them make them.

Works for me. I can have a good time with anyone who wants to be outside and talk Toyotas, let alone go on any kind of trail haha

Do you use your runner as your daily driver? And if so is the wear very bad on the 35s and is balancing hard? I've heard beadlocks as street tires are horrible since you can't balance them at all (which I don't get why not...), not to mention those Rockers are so gnarly.

Thanks for the complements. This 4Runner isn't my daily driver. I do drive it once in a while just for fun. Drive it on Friday type stuff or just because I feel like driving it. The wheel and tire combo is difficult to balance. I've tried a couple different tire companies for balancing and I still have a little wobble. Once the tires warm up it's not too bad. It's something I deal with for having 35's and beadlocks. And I wouldn't trade it. I feel that these would balance much better if I used BBs instead of conventional weights. I am going to try BBs at when I get around to it. It's just a pain in the ass to get all the caps off the wheels and I don't know if it can be done with out damaging them all.

If you take your tire and wheel combo to a tire store that has a Hunter Road Force Balancer they can help with the balancing because they find the high spots on the wheel and tire separately and put them on opposite sides. I've read it makes for a really nice balance but I haven't tried it.

I love the outdoors, main reason to live in Colorado!! Love me some 4runner but my other half doesn't like to hear it even though I got one for him. Hell I love my Runner so much I named my cat Hilux (I know Hilux is for the Taco but adding Surf to the name was to much)
