Hit a few trails here in NC around Lake Wylie where I'm staying for the next few weeks. Lots of random trails all over the place here, so I went exploring this afternoon.

I think the rack was my first modification to the truck. I've had it on there for at least a year or so because I had it for my trip to Montana last summer.

Yea it was probably the deepest I would want to take my ride. A few of the other guys went deeper but their rides didn't have carpet and they sat higher also.
I did realize one terrible design from Toyota on this trip. Why in the world would they design the gas tank to sit lower then the frame rails? I dented my tank skid while playing on the rocks. At least they were smart enough to put a skid on it.

I'm positive you could have went deeper, no use pushing your ride of you're not comfortable. I've had to pull my carpet before from having water in the cab up to the trans tunnel hump.

Anywho great pics, looks like you have a decent group to go wheeling with.

Yea I am trying to avoid having to pull my carpet. Yea I am pretty lucky in that I have 2 different groups of guys I ride with. This group I work with and another group of Toyota guys I meet on the 120 site. Sucks I am moving for work soon, but there is a good group of drivers where I am moving to in Norcal area.

I've driven mine with water at the bottom for the headlights and none of it got in.

Not so sure what you're worried about in regards to carpet. The 4runners are sealed pretty well so you shouldn't have a problem with water coming in. As long as you don't stop and park in the middle of a pond you should be alright with forward momentum.
