Hey, neighbor! I grew up in Westfield. Always managed to find trouble to get in to on the trails out there as a teenager, considering I only had a 2WD Mazda p/u.

Wow, what a fantastic weekend. Good friends, great camping, and explored some awesome trails. The last one we explored included cutting up two trees that had fallen across the trail then using a tree saver and recovery strap to pull them off the trail. Unfortunately we ran out of time and had to turn around before we could explore it all the way. It's the top trail on our list for October though.

I'll post a couple pics my friend Addison took, but the rest are in these two posts in his thread in the 3rd Gen section:

Came off one trail and we were behind a locked gate that we needed to get past to get back to the road. Yes, both my side mirrors are folded in.

From Painted Gorge

These are from south of Otay Lakes Truck Trail off of the 94 south of San Diego. Right about the middle of the trail the boarder patrol stopped us and led us back out the way we came. Not the most exciting trail but good scenery throughout.

As promised, I was back out again today. We did one section of trail I'd never been on before and there were a couple of pretty hairy spots on it. One where you were off camber with driver's side low but had to turn to the passenger's side to get around a tree. Twice the truck slid to the left towards a long drop off that caused some puckering. The tricky part was that if you went too fast you'd probably flop and if you went too slow you'd slide off entirely. No pics of that because honestly it doesn't look like much when you watch someone go through it.
