Official 5th Gen T4R Off-Road pics

Well, we had a bunch of snow fall yesterday which could only mean we had to get out on the trails. The trail we were on today closes in November so we don't usually get to run it with snow. Lots of interesting moments, rock stacking, and winching were involved. The best part was a Rubicon came out with us. On one rock ledge he went up fully locked and had to take three tries to get up it. I went up the same shelf taking a harder line with A-TRAC and rear locker on and walked it no problem. I'm sure my longer wheelbase and Duratracs made a difference, but it sure felt good.

I've posted pics of this spot before, but today with the snow and wet mud underneath it was a totally different obstacle. Really tough to get sidewall traction and the slipping made for some butt-clenching moments.

Yeah, I've got a bunch of pics from yesterday that turned out really well but I wasn't sure how everyone would feel about me posting them here since it's the "5th Gen offroad pics". If nobody minds then I can post more up or just start a separate thread of pics.

Next weekend we've got a Halloween event planned called Trails from the Crypt. We run a trail at night with everyone spaced far apart and no headlights if possible. There'll be props set up on the trail as well, kind of like a haunted house for trucks. I probably won't get many pics of that since it'll be dark, but we camp out and watch horror movies projected on a hanging sheet and the next day some of us will hit the trails again. It should be interesting since we have snow in the forecast for almost every day this week.

Thanks! I got to get up on top of the GOBI to get the pictures of it. I followed it down the trail till it got stopped long enough for me to get a good picture of it. I just wished my camera would zoom in a tad more.

What's the blue on your passenger side? In this shot it almost looks like 3M painter's tape.

Wish it was still warm enough for shorts up here. Tomorrow I'll be wearing winter boots, a ski jacket, long johns under my pants, and a tuque.
