Yeah, I'm going to just do bumpers eventually, that will help approach and departure. The 6" kits are all drop bracket kits and I'm not too into that.

Drop bracket kits are better than knuckle lift kits, as long as you realize they don't actually increase suspension travel or change spring rates (which you obviously know since you went with OME coils). However I never really understood the hatred toward those style of lifts in the Toyota community, being originally from the Big 3 camp the only way to lift is a full drop bracket or knuckle lift (spacers and torsion bar keys restrict your down travel which is key for keeping traction when flexing). It was sort of culture shock when I purchased my 4Runner and joined this forum.

There is no hatred from me, I just will not cut the crossmember on a $45k truck still under warranty. The only kits that do not cut the crossmember put the CV angles a little too extreme for me.

Drop brackets will actually reduce your clearance at the brackets from the kits I've seen. Going 6" also raises your CoG even more. It's ok for mild wheeling but I don't know that I'd want to do anything too technical with that extra height and the drop brackets.

The Massey (tractor) is actually mine. The funny part or close to being not so funny part is I very nearly got the tractor stuck as well. The truck was completely sunk and going nowhere. I tried winching from the front but I got too close to a tree. I ended up doing something a little dangerous ( if the rope snapped).... which was to leave the truck in N and drive the tractor whilst winching in the truck (via the warn wireless remote). Even then the tractor was burying itself. Needless to say I safely got it out in the end and fun was had by all! At one point I had this truck going sideways at 20 mph..... so fun; great feeling! Next time videos!

Just thought i would mention "there's an app for that" I have one on my iphone, have not tried it yet though.

It is an HDE Inclinometer. They used to be on Amazon but I just searched and could not find one to link you. I will look around online and try to find one for ya.

Just thought i would mention "there's an app for that" I have one on my iphone, have not tried it yet though.

I used one of those apps when I first started off roading but ditched it soon after. I don't know how sensitive the accelerometer is on a phone, but I'm pretty sure I don't trust my $40k truck to it.
