Official: Gym/Workout Thread

chuck norris tears dried then grinded into a powder

Well, thanks for the clarification you d*ck. How's the cold/flu coming along?

I was asking because I've been looking into stuff to maybe take to aid in recovery. I'm really not concerned with gains or muscle mass, just wanting to be able to recover as quick as I can.

if you want to recover faster i suggest you take creatine after workout, a small dose would do about 5 grams or less.
Amazon.com: Optimum Nutrition Creatine Powder, Unflavored, 600g: Health & Personal Care
i would buy this if i were you about 10 bucks for 300g

I havent read through all of this thread, but I'm 17 swim 2-3.5 hours 6 days a week followed by some weights for 45 minutes. Yet I can't run on the tread mill for a damn 20 minutes....
Edit:
I usually follow up with a protein shake. My family and I are clean eaters most of the time.
I havent been in the gym for almost 3 weeks due to an illness. I feel like crap... I lost 20 pounds from not being able to eat, good thing I am starting to eat again this week.

Thanks for the input Hepar and T4R4Life.

So I've never taken a pre-workout. I've heard of Jak3d, but never tried it. Anyway either of you two can recommend a Pre-Workout I should use?

When I'm done with my workout, I drive home, then imidietley take my protein shake. 8oz of water, and one scoop of High 5 Protein (32g). This exact one.

some people are like that, most of the time is muscle memories and some of the time people's bodies are just not build for long distance running. see if you can start slow doing inclined walking, then try to do flat jogging.

i feel you, getting sick is the worse thing while trying to get fit. im currently dealing with the flu and it's terrible

Jack3d micro and craze are the best two imo, but you get more bang for the buck with craze cuz it has creatine in it. craze also taste better

Wow, lots of different workouts here! I am a bit different in what I do. First I am a vegan so if you don't know, I don't eat animals or animal products.

I take a multivitamin with calcium tablets and vitamin D (through out the day, because for some reason iron blocks the absorption of calcium and other minerals).

My workouts include rowing, running, yoga, TRX, free weights, spinning and until recently climbing. I do a lot of backpacking for my work so I don't count it. I workout almost everyday, most of the time twice a day.

I am actually a pretty fit person, it just sucks not being able to do anything when you are so used to working out.
Also
I hope you get well from the flu! It's been bad this year. I am lucky enough not to have had it (yet) but I got some other bug that just got to me.

You ever go down to Castle Rock? One of my favorite places when I lived in the Bay.

I used to go there quite often. I actually volunteer at Longridge open space, just down the street and at the Scout camp across the street. The climbing there is still awesome and easy to get to.

Nice. I love that sandstone. We have some of the best granite around here, but there's something special about climbing on rounded sandstone. I put Eco Terrorist up there as being one of the all-time coolest lines.
