Official: Gym/Workout Thread

I'm not by any means saying to go out and do steroids, but it is one of m pet peeves to hear people bash it with no experience or real knowledge on the subject. And there are a lot of things people consider "steroids" that should never be a banned substance and don't have any real negative side effects if taken properly..

No I haven't done steroids.
Yes I know friends that have.
Yes I know people who have been hurt by it.
Yes they are illegal for a reason.

You really shouldn't be endorsing steroid use of any kind in this forum. Despite your personal history, steroids are still bad news and even passively endorsing them is wrong.

Do you know or realize that this forum is populated by a lot people under 18? Not everyone has your life experiences to guide them.

Sorry but IMO blindly coming here and saying steroid use is not that bad is pretty F'd up man.

That was me before I joined the Navy at 18. My senior year I was 6'2 and 145 lbs. 2 years later I was 175. I have been 185-190 for last 5 years.

There are other ways besides joining the service but it certain will help you "get there"

woke uo this morning, dropped .2 BF% and 1 lb, cutting is coming alone great. i see a huge difference from when i was almost 290 and 40% bf% and can't even benching my own body weight. my chest is getting fuller and arms and shoulder are getting big, waist is getting small, still have some gyno from that thing i did back in the day but when i reach 20% BF it should reduce.

What are you sitting at now? Also, how are you monitoring/measuring BF so precisely?

Right now im 275 25.4%BF, i use a hand held analyzer and do my BF first when i wake up after my morning business. the analyzer is very inaccurate compare to the real one, but as long as its dropping i don't really care. when i start to see some separations in the muscle then i'll go get a real BF test.

A lot of things are illegal for no reason. When I was in high school they had something called Andro that they sold at GNC. Worked good... a little too good because it was pulled off the marked for no reason. Ephedrine... great for cutting and very similar to caffeine yet it's illegal because some people abuse it. Now the deer antler spray stuff that's supposed to have similar effects of growth hormone is a problem... DEER ANTLER SPRAY MAN!!! Guns are gonna be illegal soon because there are idiots who use them the wrong way. Moral of the story, there are a lot of things that are not bad for you that are illegal. I could care less if you think that me saying that not all illegal things are bad is F'd up or not... I'm not saying to go out and use steroids, I'm saying research the stuff before you make any decisions on anything that you do. From car mods to supplements. Inform yourselves and make your own decisions.

google SWATS... they tried to tie Ray Lewis to it and I believe the Alabama Football team... true story... something about the immunoglobin with the moss of developing antlers on deer... it's crazy

my pre workout bottle instructs me to use 4-6 oz of water per scoop. that seems like nothing. would it be okay if i used like 10-12?

okay, last question! should i drink it slowly or chug the whole thing super fast? and also i took it 20 minutes before my workout. is that okay?

it dont really matter how fast you drink it, i drink it pretty slow cuz mine taste really good but some people chug it to get it over with. 20 mins-30mins is the usual time for preworkout to work.
 
Today was the first day of track practice. I had toe surgery today because I dropped a hi-lift on my toe. No track for 2 weeks and I'm on pain killers.
 
I work out 6 days a week like this:
Mon-20 min cardio
3 chest workouts, 2 back workouts, abs
Tues-20 min cardio
3 shoulder workouts, 2 arm workouts, abs
Wed-20 min cardio, abs
Thurs-20 min cardio
3 back workouts, 2 chest, abs
Fri-20 min cardio
3 arm workouts, 2 shoulder workouts, abs
Sat-20 min cardio

I started 2 years ago at 6'3'', 215lbs, 14% body fat. I am currently 25, 6'3'', and 175lbs at about 7% body fat. I am also vegan (just made the change this month ).
