How do you deal with being a vegan? I don't eat meat (health reasons) and have a lot of trouble getting protein and keeping my diet lean. Most of mine comes from dairy and soy

Its actually pretty easy. Lots of quinoa, lentils, beans, etc. I cant eat dairy due to lactose intolerant anyway. I just eat more throughout the day then I did when I ate meat. to be honest I have never felt better!

I always thought I was "big" but when I started hitting the gym and could only bench 100lbs I was like holy crap I'm actually weak! My last max on bench was 240lbs a year ago now. I also deadlift 315lbs regularly (just to give some common numbers). The percentages are rounded and I'm just guessing what my BFI is now. I was told by a trainer that when you have ab definition your around 7%, that's where that came from. My goals when I started were to get "jacked" but i have thus changed my work out to a more crossfit type to suit my body type.

Must be nice to keep eating too bad im allergic to veggies, i have some sort of gag reflex that when i eat veggie i throw up so i either juice it and chug it really fast, or i drink V8

Lol - still good to get different protein sources. I aim for 200 G a day.
Quinoa and lentils are really good - Have you ever looked into paleo diets? Me and my roommate just tried making these pancakes that were like bannanas, nut butter, eggs and whey protein (i'm stopping mid way and realizing you can't eat eggs) but either way, they're really good and lean for anyone else that wants to try - Paleo Pancakes | Civilized Caveman Cooking Creations
Anybody else bulking out there?

I've been bulking for 20+ years :D

Hey guys, thought I'd come join this convo since I am tired of trying to find stuff for my 2gen..lol

20 year lifter here, 6'1" 275lbs, about 20% BF, Scottish Highland game athlete, and new BJJ student. Figured BJJ would help get some of the BF down..they are grueling 2-3 hr classes. Mostly do my own routines developed over years of learning what works for me.

Lately I have backed off stuff like BB benching and heavy squats...partial tear in both pecs that can be seen with lower BF% and had knee surgery about 6 years ago. Besides, at 41 I doubt I'll be a powerlifter so squatting 315 and BB benching 315 is just fine.

Anyway, hello

damn 275 and 20%bf what a beast, i had some lower back injure from my football days and raw powerlifting sessions back in highschool so my lower back is as strong as a 80 year old man, i try to keep the weight moderate around 315 right now for deads and squats to slowly move up to the 500+ clubs, injure sucks and permanent injure is sometimes very discouraging. Ill be asking you buncha a power lifting questions in the future :D

I can help be my pleasure.

Why do you say that?

Its a designer roid..google it.
If you take it you need to do the same end-cycle regiment as any popular roid or you will lose the gains.

Also, if you are taking as an ingredient in something, I would think the dosage would be negligible.

It's a pro-hormone, designed in the lab from the original steroid superdrol, unless you want to compete in a body building contest or strong man don't mess with steroids and pro hormones

I'm just trying to bulk up faster than I am naturally. Figured a quick 15 pounds would be worth it. Any advice on bulking other than the typical work hard, eat a lot?

i see too many people like you who have hard time putting on weight destroy their body to add water retaining fake muscle. real muscle takes work. i hate to say it bud but nothing in life worth having comes easy. take Marc lobliner for example this took 18 years.
