A significant change. Very well done indeed!

I thought I was back and then 2 days later I was laid up again. Went back to the doctor again and got them to reluctantly do an x-ray as I consider x-rays to be the gateway to an MRI. The x-ray of my spine looked fine, apparently, though the radiologist mentioned something about reactive hypertrophy. The doc says that something was damaged a while ago and it's just the body's reaction to it and it's nothing to worry about. I now have an appointment with a back specialist in June, so no lifting until then.

The way the pain moves from the lower back to the right hip & into the groin is leading me to believe I've either got an SI joint problem or something wrong with a hip flexor.

Man, I want to get back into the weight room so bad. I'm starting to get mushy.

I think I can still bench. Debating doing some non-back related stuff. Maybe try to get my bench up to 450. :D

I gotta do something...

dude i don't know your situation but if i were you i'd probly go mad lol i can't not squat dude. it almost messes me up if i dont at least squat once a week.

It is miserable, knowing what I was able to do before & can't now. Just another month and a half and I will know what's going on and hopefully be on the road to recovery.

Hats off to you - not only for the great results but for the drive to squat. Leg day is pretty much non-existent in this kids workout.

I go to the gym probably 4 or 5 days a week, only started doing that though once I got to college. The summer going into my junior year of high school I was 5'9" and pushing 200 lbs. I was lucky enough to hit a growth spurt and I was basically at my current level by the time senior year rolled around, certainly made for bit of a shock-and-awe factor on the first day of school.

My problem is that I don't have a big enough appetite to put on any weight. I've been 160 (+/- 5 lbs) for the past 4 years, all while lifting on a pretty consistent basis.

yeah i was taught right at 8th grade middle school by my football coach who was a powerlifter. played ball all the way till end of highschool and never stopped lifting. once college came around i kinda slacked for about 2 years. finally got serious again this year and manage to break all my old PRs. right now my total pr is still low but hopefully i'll bring it up once i stopped my cutting season this year and start bulking. right now i hold a 455 squat 405 deads and a shamful 295 bench total out at 1155 :(. but im kinda getting away from power lifting and started going into more of a body building style lifting for a change so my strength has gone down a bit.

I have the opposite problem, i can eat 2000 calories and bulk it's terrible lol

Okay i feel kinda bad because i've been posting on Tacomaworld gym thread constaly but i don't post here enough, im gonna start doing the same despite the lack of swole bros here.

Nice work man congrats! That's where I topped out in college, almost 7 years ago now, which sucks to think about. Getting a legit gym membership this next week for the first time in almost 3 years. Time to feel the burn again haha

That would be insane man, I'm looking forward to seeing that. Its all about setting specific goals- you set it, and you can achieve it. Maybe I should set one- bench 300 by the end of the year. its on.
