Official: Gym/Workout Thread

man what a crap workout i had today, being back after a month of not lifting is hard. also took this free sample PWO today on empty stomach almost puked in the gym. never again.

Just be careful. Since you're a hard gainer, I'd consider less carbs, more protein and try to keep calories the same so you don't lose that hard earned muscle.

Yeah, I wonder how TRDTeen is doing? Haven't heard from him in a while.

Yeah, I'm going to do the research before I cut, like you said I definitely don't wanna lose any hard to gain muscle

do y'all take pics of your progress? :photo: i do a pic every friday and keep stored on my phone. every few weeks i like to compare. i wish i would have done measurements too from the start but never did.
did a comparison from june 1 to current and have impressive gains in my back that got me stoked. its muuuuuuch wider now and shoulders are getting bigger. i started working out last Aug and was 5'9" 160lbs now im 5'9" 139lbs. all of my weight was in my belly (damn you beer) i leaned out and now im just working on bulking clean/lean

i do a couple pics a week... no measurements. weigh every other day.

im a smaller guy so getting low BF is easier. staying under 10% is a lot of discipline, i dont stray from my diet too often
5'9" 140lbs. working on getting to 150-155lbs but keeping under 10%BF

i see, might be pretty hard to gain muscle with such a low BF.

im def gaining but it is a slower process. my fitness goal was to lose belly fat and ive done that. if it takes me a year to gain another 10lbs of lean muscle its fine as long as i stay lean.
whats crazy is i eat a lot. i eat more than most people i know. in fact im eating right now

IF problems:
too busy to eat, first meal at 9pm, getting sleepy, not eating enough calories, i got like 50gs of protein left in my macros and im stuffed to the dome.

How many of you guys integrate pull ups into your workouts?

i have never done a proper pull up in my life, altho my lats are very developed i just never done it. use to be a fat kid so pull up just seems like mission impossible.

I did pullups all the time. My usual back work out started with getting to 75 as fast as possible, usually takes around 12 mins. I started doing weighted pullups and then got some tendonitis

perfect time to focus on legs! :D

Hey Zak, in that pic of your hand with the control cables coming out of it, is that your shiny cute shoe at the top of the picture? ( I sure hope not...:lmao:)

Hahah, "control cables" - the doc prefers "k wires" or pins.

I wish I could say it was, but that is a great shot of my girlfriend who was running away because she didnt want to take the picture for me
