Official Knives + Discussion Thread

Carry a gun while hiking in California? :)
I would expect that from an Arazonian not someone from CA!

CCL will allow you to carry in some places.

If you're interested, check this out.

But yea, the laws are weird/confusing at times, so I guess a knife would be a better option. haha I think the ESEE 5 might be a good option, if you plan to whack at wood and self defense. Another combo might be a machete, and foldable saw. :p

My 23 year old CR Sebenza is my current everyday carry. Has an out of date ATS-34 blade, but it still holds a great edge.

No pic but:
CRKT
SPYDERCO
KERSHAW
BENCHMADE
Leatherman Wave
Leatherman Wingman work gift.

For sharpening them I use the WorkSharp. :fencing:

nobody carries just a plain pocket knife? I've had a knife in my pocket since I was 6.

but I do love a good blade.

current carry (past 20+) is a nice small Buck with rosewood handles lock-back
Gerbers
Mark I (traded a B-2 parka for it when I was 17)
Mark II
AG Russell Sting (any Jerry Ahern fans?)
Microtech socom elite M (bought on a whim as I fell in love with it in a knife store)
Plus a bunch more but I can't remember them all.

My go to is a Spyderco Manix 2 though with a DLC coating and a full-flat ground blade. It is perfect for my EDC needs.

Not an EDCarrier, but like to have a good knife in the great outdoors. My tiny collection...

Spyderco PM2 (M4 Sprint Run)
Spyderco Delica
ZT 0456
Kershaw Leek
D Rocket Keychain Slicer

Benchmade Adamas auto
Benchmade SOCP
CRKT minimalist
And a custom made carry blade or karambit are usually my rotation of EDC blades

My crkt m16 has been with .me for about 6 years. Has been all over Europe, the middle east these united states and has been very good to me. Only issue i ever have is the belt hook thingie comes loose from time to time. Takes a nice edge when it gets dull and keeps going.

only thing that irked me about the m16 is the blade lock.. i hated it enough that i gave them all away as gifts. Yes, i know i could have disabled them, but they made better gifts to my buddies lol,

How has that Spydie DLC been holding up on your Manix 2? Looking to get one in M390 and debating on the DLC part.

Oh, and let's bump this thread TTT :llama: :llama: :llama:

I'm not trying to make a scene..

Honestly all I see here are kids toy knives.

Travel and find out that these are what a gentleman (or a Catholic sheep herder in France) would carry ... note the cross in the handles to say Grace before your meal.
