still on team DirtCo! people here are voting for the best 4runner ever instead of best 4runner of the month. That's like voting for a president in 2012 who did some good 10 years ago. its just not fair to some of the newer members. And its not what 4runners they have, but the story behind the truck and the pics that wins the contest. some of the winners in the past drove stock 4runners, but their awesome pics and story got them the votes.

This vote is going great...we got almost as many votes here in 3 days that we got in 3 weeks in the nominations thread. Awesome.

For next month, what do y'all think if we have one rig from each gen for our T4ROTM poll, so 5 gens = 5 rigs. I'm thinking its worth a try, and then no one can complain that there are too many 4th gens or not enough 5th gens blah blah blah.

the contest should have defined terms that way it will last longer
who has the cleanest
who has the most trail ready
who has the most stock vehicle with a bumper and some big tires
who has the most lights
who can get as much mud on there truck
best break down pic
best swapped engine
best paint job

i look at these trucks and they are all in separate classes,Crozhawk has a SAS swap and hydro steering and the others just have bumpers and big tires. if you want us to be more active in your official vote then have the owners do a picture and write up of what they have in there rig, or have a link to their build thread that shows everything they did with pictures. most of us have a full library of pictures of what we have done so it should be easy to do.
like i said this is just my opinion.

Maybe just you can't win more than once in a year. Sort of like miss july isnt also miss novembre. But next year, miss july can become miss march.

I think one criteria should be that the owner paid for everything themselves (short of a few xmas/birthday gifts). As with all vehicle centered forums, I think there are a few kids on here that just go to daddy for a credit card when they want a new mod, then have someone else install it. :whip2:

No...this will end the 31st of March. Then we will have a nominations thread from April 1st to 15th and then have the April T4ROTM poll from the 15th to the 30th and so on.

To be honest with you, I have no idea how this is suppose to go, and since I'm a fairly new member and never saw how this use to go, it's all just a guessing game. But it seems to be working out fairly well if I do say so myself

I believe it used to be run by the mods and either GatorGreg (original t4r owner) or all the mods combined picked the T4RotM. I believe the reason it ended was because GatorGreg got busy (eventuating in the sale of the forum to admin) and the other mods got lazy about picking someone so they quit doing it.

So your democratic method is new.... You're a pioneer Cal! Thanks!
