G'day everyone,

With it being Canada Day tomorrow, I'll be in no shape to start a new thread or even use a computer for that matter. So I'll get a head start on this month, which reminds me that I was supposed to get a head start anyways because that was a suggestion made by a member. However, nobody seems to be bothered by my forgetfulness, so does everyone think I should be starting the "next" months thread early (like a week) to get more time for nominations/voting or are people happy with the current system?

Now back to business. This month is 3RD GENS ONLY so get down to their/your sub-forum and pick a winner! As usual, if your the first person to nominate a member, post a pic (which will be used as the nomination pic) and build thread link if possible. Any nominee's who would like to change their nomination pic, PM me or post it in this thread.

EDIT: ONE nomination per member please and thank you.

Good luck and happy nominating/voting

Minor thought here, opinions please. Not sure how important or popular T4ROTM is to everyone but what do y'all think of it having its own sub-forum. I think it might be too minor and I understand that but it would be nice to not litter up the general section with endless T4ROTM threads, also we could have a have a thread with guidelines (I don't like to call them "rules", this is for fun after all) and a thread with previous months winners as stickys. I don't know, just a thought...flame away!

I have a sneaky suspicion that this round will need to be thinned down to a handful of finalists for voting--there are a bunch of good 3rd Gens out there (and I fear the 4th Gens will be even harder to narrow down). I need to dig to try to pick my own nomination--this is going to be tough!

GEAR DOWN THERE BIG RIGS!!! LOL...Lets try and keep the nominations per member to ONE. I know last month we allowed more than ONE but this month is going to be busy enough. Plus you can only VOTE for one member, so does it not make sense to nominate the member your going to vote for.

In this case, I'm going to allow steezemcqueen's nominations because its just the initial nomination and its going to take multiple nominations for a nominee to make it to the final 5.

But for 4running_Daily, since you "seconding" nominations then I'm just going take the member at the top of your list so if you want to change it then just edit your post

I hope this makes sense to everyone.

After doing a lot of digging around the site, and seeing a LOT of sweet 3rd Gen rigs, I think I'm just going to second "Blacktpgsr"'s nomination--while many have bolted on a lot of cool mods, I like how many of the mods on this were very tastefully fabricated by the owner. The results usually look like factory options or professional aftermarket items. Tons of changes from the original purchase, and all add to the functionality of the rig without looking cluttered or thrown together--it's a very clean, purposeful build.

As to the questions about the T4ROTM thread, TRDCal, my own thoughts are that the current timing is fine--about 10 days for nominations, and the remainder of the month for voting. I think if you overlap too much, it starts getting like political elections that seem to run forever. As to the sub-forum, I don't see a problem as it is, a simple thread combined with the updating sidebar. Just my two cents worth...

That works. Post edited!

Being Hepar (unfortunately) respectfully declined any consideration for nomination, it makes my decision to equally nominate 4flusher for consideration, although I would like to see some more recent pics as I thought he'd done more mods to his ride than what's posted in the photo below? Or was I dreaming about trucks again :)

I like Blacktpgsr for a nominee too, but I think that the T4ROTM should be someone who's done something with their rig this month.

That being said, I've got to choose between 4Ripcord for building his, and Dirtco or Rickashay for building AND using theirs....

Since I voted for Dirtco last time around, and 4Ripcord has a legion of followers (and as a result will be sure to make the top 5)....

I nominate Rickashay.

Edit: Since his build thread doesn't tell the whole story, here's a link to his epic pic thread > Rickashay's Wheeling Pics Thread

I really tried to just keep it to 1, but I figure in the next day or two we'll probably have 30 or so trucks that will need to be trimmed to 5 or 6 anyway. Can I just leave these here for a minute until I make up my mind?

Lol. Thanks for the nomination, but I think I'd respectfully decline. While I love my Runner immensely and have done quite a few things to it, I don't think it's nearly to the level as these other guys. Most of my mods are simple and have been done before. Probably the only unique thing is the front bumper, but that I paid someone to do. Would be different if I went out and welded it myself.

I think I'll probably end up picking a name out of a hat. Not sure I could really make a choice betweem 4, BigFish, Dirtco, Block, Rick...so many great rides and great mods.

Dang this is going to be hard!
For me it would have to be between 4-Ripcord or Blcktpgsr. They are both two beautiful rigs and it was hard for me to narrow them down to just the 2!

Although, I hope neither of them take this the wrong way, and I am sure they are both wholey capable offroad; I will have to make my decision on who I would want to take with me off the beaten path. Ripcord has a lot going for himself with the 4x4 Sport Edition and the TRD Supercharger and Blcktpgsr has the winch system and all... I would say Ripcord.
I would follow Ripcord into Hell as long as there were enough to crawl and mud through.

Only one huh? Damn. It's tough between BigFishAllDay, 4-Ripcord, Blcktpgsr, BanditRunner, Dirctco and a few others. Looks like these are all nominated already though.

So I'm going with Singtoe and his V8 swap.
