Thanks for the suggestion. I'm roughly the same size as you, wear the same size pants, but I'm not convinced I could pull it off. I would assume it's the way I'm shaped, as well as how my pants sit, but it doesn't seem possible. I was looking into it after reading your post earlier, I just forgot to respond.

For skinny/smaller dudes AIWB is usually the best bet. Try one out and see if it works for you. Most folks think it won't and it ends up being the proper solution most of the time.

If you're convinced it isn't, try something like a Crossbreed Freedom Carry holster. It's about 1/2 the size of that Alien Gear Cloak 3 and conceals a shield very well and very comfortably.

That's my go-to for my shield carry holster, wear it for 16+ hours a day at times and it is very comfortable, nice to take it off at the end of the day, but it isn't bad at all.
Sometimes you've got to find the right clothes that fit your carry plans.
I'm 6'1" 225 so I can carry just about anything anytime of the year without printing or ever being too uncomfortable. But I do have to make the correct garment choices in certain weather/situations/holsters/firearms.
Looks like you're rocking a Magpul/Tejas gun belt- correct? Nice piece of kit, I love the ones I have.

Lately the carry knife I use most is a lower end Spyderco folder. Very nice knife and don't worry about beating it up a bit. A couple years ago was in our shop at work and my superintendent pulled out one of these. Microtech Ultratech, auto open-close. Within a week I bought two, one for nephews birthday and one for me. At the time he lived in New York City, he got a kick out of that when I shipped it to him. Extremely well made and the cool factor is off the charts.
A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Nice! I picked up a few Natives, a Delica 4, and a Manix 2 at their seconds sale this year. Currently carrying a Native plain edge with the G10 grip.

This is my kind of thread:
First gun: Beretta 92FS (sold) I sent it off to Robar and had them cut that hideous barrel flush with the slide and a target crown, added grip.
First Shotty: Rem 870 (sold) This had 2 different sets of furniture, but ended up with the magpul stuff. had a few upgrades for better reliability.
First USP: .45 (For sale currently) USP .45 Full size, EFK match barrel, Trijicon HD night sights, have ext and flush floor plates for mags.
Springfield XD Mod2 .45: (sold) Custom talon grip tape to cover the "grip zone"...ugh, custom sanded pearce grip, Trijicon HD night sights
Rem 700 sps tactical .308/7.62x51: Lots of upgrades!
FNH FN15 5.56/.223/.22LR/ 300 blkout: Lots of upgrades! 300 blkout upper, .22LR BCG w mag etc etc
USP 9C: Meprolight night sights, 13rd mags, UTG pistol light

Ruger SR9 Review.....
Well I decided to go out and out it through some paces since someone was nice enough to loan it out to me and do some testing.
I'll be the first to say I'm not a Ruger guy or Glock guy or what ever. I just like a pistol that shoots well and is easy to use and user friendly. What works for me will not work for everyone. Period!
So what that being said let the fun commence.
I had read some reviews on this pistol are for the most part all were good in the end stating it was a nice carry gun and shot well.
I'm honestly really shocked how well this pistol preformed today. I hope you enjoy.
Below are the results from ammo testing of different types and loads. In the end the Nosler Bonded Performance 124JHP loved this gun.
See Pics and stats below. All measurements were confirmed with a pair of calipers not a ruler or my eyes.

Moving on to the fun stuff-
A I said in the last post I was surprised on how well this pistol shoots.

First down the pipe was the Nosler Defence, 124 Grain Bonded Round.
3 Shot Group is at .428 inches- I'll take that all day long!

Sig Elite 124 Grain Elite Preformance V-Crown Jacketed Hollow Point
3 Shot Group is at .892 inches- Again I'll take it all day long!

Barn Tac-XPD 115 Grain Defence Ammo
3 Shot Group is at 1.729- Not bad still.

Hornady Critical Duty 135 Grain FlexLock
3 Shot Group is at 1.348- Still doing really well.
(Note-Between all shots taken gun was given 5 minutes to cool down at a indoor temp of 32 degrees in the range)

Federal Target Range Ammo 115 Grain
3 Shot Group is at 1.423

Old Range ammo that was a mix just for shooting paper, unknown weight etc.
3 Shot Group is at 2.629 inches- Still good over all
Next Box and testing will be-
Hornady 147 Grain XTP's. That is a heavy round for a 9mm. Can't wait to see what it dose.
I'm happy with the way this pistol shot today. If you have not shot this SR9 I would tell you to give it a try. The grip angle is nice, the trigger in my opinion is better than a Sig- It doesn't have that mush feel to it at all. Overall this is a good carry gun and at a great price.
Sorry about the pictures. The site doesn't want to load them the correct way for some reason even after flipping them around.

UPDATE:
So I got to looking at the shot groups and were not that thrilled because I know that I shoot better than what was hitting paper. Well after looking at the pistol I found that the front site post is not correct and that is some of the cause for the shot groups pulling to the 7 oclock area. I knew when I pull the few shots I did but something made me go back and look at the pistol and bingo what do you know. I will be updating this soon and we will see what this bad boy will really do once the sights are adjusted . I expect the groupings to be more dead center and possibly even tighter. More to come.

I've got a Microtech Ultratech also. I've got the Double Edged Dagger style. A nice little knife. I find I never use it though. Just sits in the gun safe these days. Definitely one of my favorite OTF's.
I like my benchmade Infidel a bit better though. I prefer the placement of the slide button on the face of the knife. Just seems to be more fluid for me when pulling from pocket and pushing the slide button/action.
I used to carry expensive knives, but lost enough of them to stop that quickly. I had a bad spot of luck with losing folders clipped on to the inside of my pocket, I lost 6 or 7 in one damn year, all on hikes with my dog and never found any of them...
Now I stick to Kershaw Shallot, Blur or Leek for folders.
They are still pretty high quality, work well for a lot of tasks- but cheap enough I'm not sad if they get lost.
Never lost a fixed blade, knock on wood...
I typically alternate between my Scrap Yard Scrapivore CG or ESEE 3. When out in the woods/mountains I upgrade to an ESEE 4 or 5.
