Oil change help please

Hi guys
Just changed my oil and oil filter job finished, filter in, plug tightened up.
Went ahead and filled it up with 4.5 litres and ran it for a while, let the oil settle for 30 mins and checked the dipstick and its reading at just over the low marker.
Everywhere I've read says 4.5 quarts to fill it. Which is pretty much 4.5 litres?
Why would it be reading so low? Don't want to add more and overfil!

I have a 3.4L and I think the spec is 5.4-5.5 litres but mine takes almost 6 litres. You are using stock size oil filter? I would add 150ml and see where that takes you. Then check it cold in the morning and add a little more to just below the full mark.
