[Oil Change ?] Royal Purple or Amsoil

I have one hundred & forty thousand (140k) miles on my T4R SR5 Automatic. It is time for the oil to get changed. I was thinking about using Royal Purple or Amsoil this time around. I live in Northern California & right now the weather is doing great it is around 60+ degrees. My T4R is a daily driven SUV I do not tow anything with it & it only sees a dirt road when I go camping. I only have 1 modification & that is a K&N short ram air intake system with the heat shield. I just did a tune-up not too long ago plugs, wires, belts, tranny fluid & etc.

So with the above stated what would be my best bet for motor oil? Will I see any gains in gas mileage or power? I know there are websites out there that claim one of these oils will give you more HP & better gas mileage.

So what should I use? :hungry:

I use Wal-mart brand full synthetic, its only about $20 for 6 quarts. And I like to use the Fram filters with the grip stuff on them. Works great, I cant complain.

I know I will probably hear flak about that from some, and I also put the cheapest gas I can find in too!

Both are very high quality synth oils. Do you like the color brown or purple better?

I personally use Valvoline synthetic. it's free so I'm not complaining. But if I were a chooser I would stick with Amsoil. Use it in my built Supra

***UPDATE***

I have only been using Royal Purple for my Oil as of August 2009. I have noticed some gains & they are. The engine temperature is a bit cooler from start up - riving for 4 hours or more on the open highway. The throttle response has improved. I have been able to go 14-18 miles more on a full tank of gas.
