How many use the 3000 mile interval OR use the on-board service interval indicator light?

Every 5k.which is about 5 months for me.

5K for me also, visually its easy to know when i need to change oil looking on the odometer 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40K etc..

Every 5K - I keep the sticker and stick it in the compartment underneath HVAC controls as a reminder. Can't stand useless stickers on my windshield

This is what's recommend from the factory so this is what I do.

I do 10k miles on Mobil One EP Synthetic with mobil filter.

one gets to 5K or so
the other to 2K (and its oil life indicator will say 80% remaining)

5K which usually ends up to be a year. This past OCI went 14 months, but the oil analysis came back saying everything was just fine.
As someone else said, 5K is a good marker and I rotate the tires at the same time. Mobil1 0w40.

Your light doesn't do this? Light starts blinking at 4500 then comes in solid at 5000.

Sorry, I should've clarified that. The blinking starts around 4200. Solid comes in around 4600-4800, so almost accurate.
