After the TB job, I noticed that I had forgotten to slide the clamps on the L shaped rubber hose just behind the oil filter and coolant was dripping from the bottom end of the hose, was able to squeeze a needle nose at an odd angle and slide the clamp back, it stopped but then the top part of the L shaped rubber hose started leaking, I tried adjusting the clamp, even put a second screw type clamp on it but that did not help.
Last night, I ended up draining the radiator, removed the fans shroud and the fan (glad to have used antiseize on those nuts) that allowed me to remove the L shaped rubber hose, there seems to be no rips or gouges but I do see couple of cuts on the very edge past where the hose clamps are placed ,is that the culprit or can there be some other reason, can the oil cooler be blocked somehow creating back pressure?
Should I just install the L shaped hose again, maybe get new clamps and and give it a go or replace it, is it possible that there is a tear I am not seeing that leaks under higher pressure?
can I use a regular hose from the auto parts store if dealership does not have it stock, it has a L shape?
